Job Summary
Varnell Framing Contractor Inc. is seeking experienced Carpenters with strong hands-on wood framing experience. The ideal candidate should be skilled in measuring, cutting, assembling, and installing wood framing components while following construction plans and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform wood framing for construction projects.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and construction plans.
- Measure, cut, and assemble lumber and framing materials.
- Install wall, floor, roof, and structural framing components.
- Build and install wood structures according to project specifications.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Ensure framing is properly aligned, level, and structurally sound.
- Perform accurate layout and measurements.
- Assist with other carpentry and construction tasks as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all job-site safety procedures and requirements.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Carpenter.
- Strong wood framing experience is required.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and construction drawings.
- Proficiency with carpentry hand and power tools.
- Strong knowledge of framing techniques and construction practices.
- Ability to accurately measure and calculate dimensions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious.
- Ability to perform physically demanding construction work.
Compensation: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
